We’re looking for our next Product Designer, New Products. Could It Be You?
At Questrade we are looking for an experienced Product Designer for’s new lines of business to apply design and research skills to craft compelling experiences by unleashing creativity and deliver the best customer experience which will drive business growth through lead and customer acquisition of the business.

Responsible for the continuous testing and optimization of for expanding products and customer’s overall experience, validating the Information Architecture, content structure, navigation and wireframes. You will take on complex challenges and synthesize your learnings, creating solutions that solve customer pain points and meet business objectives.

What’s it like working as a Product Designer, New Products at Questrade?
As a Product Designer, you’ll be responsible for developing strategy, design, testing and continued optimization of new and upcoming products for expanding products and customer needs, with the objective of designing the best user experience while driving business growth through customer acquisition.
You’ll have an understanding of complex business, technical and customer problems and translate them into simple and elegant digital solutions – blending quantitative and qualitative research insights, data and solid intuition.
You’ll work closely with other Designers, as well as Researchers, Writers, Engineers and Product Owners throughout the design process - anticipate user’s needs and goals, advocate for them and, using analytical insights, KPIs and market trends ensure that the final product is easy and delightful to use.

As a Product Designer, New Products, you will be responsible for planning, designing and optimizing Information Architecture to scale for expanding products and customer needs. You will lead discovery with product owners, Marketing and Customer Experience to gather business requirements and objectives to develop customer journeys, IA, user flows and wireframes that lead to intuitive and brand compliant user experiences. You will build strong cross functional partnerships and represent the customer’s point of view to deliver the best user experience on You will support in the development of user journeys on to drive business outcomes by developing user scenarios and flows.

You will continually drive IA development towards a meaningful balance between user needs, business objectives and technical feasibility. You will research & analyze customer data and evaluate usability based on best practices. You will develop low and high-fidelity wireframes. You will develop specification documentation that allows for implementation in UI design and website development. You will help designers in the implementation of IA design, and collaborate with content publishers and developers in the development process. You will be informed by web analytics, user flows and usability testing to analyze trends and improve user experience. You will test hypotheses and drive continuous improvement across by enhancing user experience through the digital customer journey, driving conversion and acquisition with a customer first-focus. You will share results clearly and frequently across teams to make sure we apply learnings to the fullest. You will adapt and help evolve design system.

✔ You have relevant experience in UX design or product design

✔ You have strong knowledge of/experience in marketing, cognitive science, information science, with a solid understanding of user experience design

✔ You are proficient with leading design software such as UXPin, Axure, Sketch, Invision and Adobe Creative Suite

✔ You have proven experience and demonstrable success in designing and implementing website IA solutions at scale

✔ You have experience developing personas and usage scenarios

✔ You have the ability to analyze user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience

✔ You have the ability to conduct competitor and customer analysis

✔ You have a proven track record of enhancing user experience, increasing engagement and improving conversion performance, with a lead and customer acquisition focus

✔ You have experience developing and communicating UX design guidelines and design specifications

✔ You have experience in web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.) and/or optimization tools (Google Optimize, Optimizely etc.)

✔ You have working knowledge of front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to fluidly converse with designers, developers and UX partners

✔ Awareness of user testing softwares such as UserTesting & Optimal Workshop

✔ You are able to clearly communicate vision and know how to balance customer needs and business goals.

✔ You are skilled at presenting ideas with the ability to articulate strategic decisions to a variety of audiences

✔ You have strong relationship building skills with the ability to work well at all levels of an organization and interact confidently with senior management

✔ You have exceptional time management skills and ability to efficiently multitask in a fast-paced environment

✔ You have an understanding of agile methodologies, industry standards and best practices.

✔ You have experience working in an agile environment

✔ You have the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

✔ You have a high level of self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
