We’re looking for our next Brand Designer. Could It Be You?

We are looking for an experienced Brand Designer to contribute to the continued growth and development of our brand, and to support the art direction and designs for multi-channel initiatives; including print, video, digital and experiential communication. The successful candidate will have a strong portfolio with an emphasis on branding and visual identity creation, displaying exceptional design thinking and execution skills that can translate our business strategies into innovative and creative designs.

Reporting to the Design Manager, Marketing - Brand, Strategy and Communications, they will work on our brand architecture, visual identity, brand guidelines and standards, as well as produce marketing materials for both internal and external use. The Brand Designer will work collaboratively with other marketing & communications professionals and senior staff members to establish brand continuity across all platforms.

As a Brand Designer, you will collaborate with senior leadership to align on brand direction and strategy. You will play an important role in shaping and growing our brand and what our visual identity and language should look like. You will continuously ensure our brand is relevant and relatable to our audiences and grow and maintain our brand guidelines and brand assets. You will work with other members of the marketing team to translate marketing strategies and ideas into creative concepts, and see those concepts through to production. You will collaborate with other creatives on a wide range of deliverables for the organization, including but not limited to websites, microsites, email newsletters, webinars, online and offline ads, social media assets, etc. You will concept and design our brand’s swag and collateral.

You will enable other non-designer organization members to understand our brand and create on-brand assets. You will effectively present concepts and ideas, including sketches and story boards. You will ensure brand compliance across the organization. You will convert information into digestible visuals. You will incorporate customer research and analytics into brand solutions and design decisions. You will understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audiences. You will take work from concept to final execution within deadlines and build and maintain our design systems and visual identity assets.

✔ You have 3-5 years of working experience with an emphasis on branding, visual identity and art direction

✔ You have hands on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design and image selection

✔ You have proficient use of Adobe Creative Cloud apps such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

✔ You have a striking design portfolio that highlights both design and strategic thinking skills

✔ You have design skills and understanding of workflows for both digital and print

✔ You are able to incorporate feedback and take/give direction well

✔ You have the ability to work independently and in a team

✔ You have engagement in constructive design critiques

✔ You have a strong sense of how content is consumed with a solid understanding of design principles and best practices including typography, colour, space, composition, balance, and hierarchy

✔ You have excellent written and verbal communication skills

✔ You are d etail oriented and highly organized

✔ You have a keen design eye with a passion for quality

✔ You have strategic thinking skills

✔ You have project management skills

✔ You have experience working with other creatives including UX Designers, copywriters and developers

✔ You are a team player with strong communication and presentation skills

✔ You have relevant education or training
