Lighthouse Labs is looking to welcome our first Product Designer to join our Product Development team. We are looking for a Product Designer to help us scale our outcomes-obsessed personalized education experience by improving the user experience of our in-house Learning Management System and our on-demand assistance platform. In short, we are looking for a product designer with a strong UX/UI eye to create the look and feel of our products and increase user experience satisfaction.

What you’ll be doing:
- Fold UX principles into the design, going above and beyond at ensuring our product is user-friendly.
- Use your knowledge of colour, typography, detail, and other design elements to create the look and feel of our products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with software development, product management, learning experience designers, students and company leaders to take products from concept to launch, and improve current products.
- Understand our clients by leveraging qualitative and quantitative data and serve as their advocate when making design decisions.
- Collaborate in planning and observing user tests and other design research activities.
- Deliver detailed wireframes, user flows, visual design and other artifacts to agile development teams and refine as needed during project sprints.

What we need from you:
- 3+ years of professional experience UX/UI design;
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma;
- A strong understanding of how to apply design thinking when planning and scoping project work;
- Experience in contributing towards a design system;
- A portfolio that demonstrates functional designs across desktop and mobile devices;
- A user-centric mindset;
- Strong wireframing/prototyping skills;
- Experience conducting research/partnering with user researchers;
- Experience partnering with engineers to release features, products, and/or services;
- Experience working on complex applications;
- Strong visual and verbal communication skills;
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
