The opportunity:
The Multimedia Designer sits at the intersection of a wide range of products, content and internal teams, and is responsible for bringing the HBR brand and content to life through storytelling, motion design, brand design, explainer videos, and through visual presentations both on and off our platforms.

This position supports video and editorial products within Harvard Business Review, including secondary brands like Ascend, the HBR vertical focused on content for early careers.

This person should be comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, while balancing a wide variety of creative executions within different brands. They will assume full ownership and responsibility for their work, including concept and ideation, stakeholder communication, visual research, creative assignments, defining and attending meetings, file management, meeting deadlines, purchasing, billing and invoicing.

What you’ll do:
- Visual storytelling, script input, creating storyboards
- Update and maintain brand guidelines and consistency.
- Strong typography skills, creating title cards, text on screen
- Utilizing time-saving tools and work processes including AI templates, Mogrt files, third-party templates and tools.
- Finding, editing & creating imagery, including stock photos, icons, and video footage.
- Video editing in Premier is a plus\*
- Html experience is a plus\*

What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of multimedia experience, preferably at an editorially driven media company.
- Proficiency working with the Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Working in Sprint/Agile environments is a plus
Note: we will consider remote applicants but those based in the Boston area will be expected to work a hybrid schedule, with two in-office days per week
