We are seeking to appoint a talented User Experience (UX) Designer to join our dynamic and growing team at Autodesk. The successful candidate will have a passion for design, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality designs. You will have previous experience of UX and UI Design, with a good understanding of the full design and development cycle from research, analyzing complex user and business requirements, sketching, wire-framing and prototyping, through to test, launch and review. You will be genuinely interested in and passionate about design, persuasive in articulating designs, engaging and communicating effectively with different user types and developers to deliver the best possible user experience.Responsibilities

  • Create compelling artifacts (wireframes, conceptual diagrams, task flows, storyboards, prototypes, and documentation) that outline present conditions and proposed solutions
  • Create engaging visual designs that effectively blend the latest design trends and practices, focus on usability and creatively following existing visual guidelines
  • Familiarity with the value of design systems, understanding reuse and scale, and knowing when to contribute to make them better
  • Assist in customer research activities during the planning, strategy development, and early design of solutions
  • Participate in customer interaction in many forms, from interviews to sprint demos to usability testing
  • Meet with customers and development partners to validate designs and make iterative improvements
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation
  • Partner with development teams to drive successful implementation of the user experience design specifications
  • Use design-thinking to break through organizational silos and collaboratively solve complex design challenges
  • Maintain familiarity with Innovyze and other Autodesk software to ensure compatibility with capabilities and services shared across our portfolio
  • Collaborate with a team of peer designers to help expand the positive impact of the experience design discipline at the team and company levels

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience doing UX/XD, Human Computer Interaction, or interaction design
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with experience in working across functional teams in problem definition and analysis, understanding customer workflows, creating prototypes and designs that solve customer problems
  • Quality portfolio that showcases your creativity and UX process
  • Ability to visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity, from sketches to high-level wireframes or mock-ups to conceptual presentations
  • Experience with design support tools such as Figma, Sketch, Mural, Miro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, Balsamiq, or similar
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distil complex ideas to their essence
  • Comfortable in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders, can adjust to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying UX within Agile development environments
  • Experience working in the water industry
  • Experience in large, distributed, enterprise organizations
